Facial Feminization and Forehead Reduction
Ffs and forehead
reduction is a surgical procedure that improves the appearance of a woman's
face. The main objective is to reduce the masculine qualities of a woman's face
while still creating a feminine appearance. This surgery is performed on men
and women, both cisgender and transgender.
Facial feminization and forehead reduction involves
many different surgical techniques. It can also include non-surgical
treatments.
The most common procedures are the brow lift, forehead
reduction, and fat grafting. These procedures can be combined with other
procedures, such as hairline lowering, to create a feminized look.
FFS Procedure
A brow lift elevates the eyebrows and softens the brow
ridge. It is commonly performed in conjunction with rhinoplasty. Forehead
reduction can also be used to change the shape of the forehead.
During the ffs and forehead reduction procedure, the
skin of the forehead is removed. In addition, the orbital rims, browbone, and
central forehead bone are exposed. Using CT scans, the surgeon can make
accurate measurements for these areas.
Forehead recontouring reduces the ridge of the bony
forehead, which imparts an "M"-shaped appearance to the face. Another
procedure, called the upper lip lift, decreases the distance between the nose
and the upper lip.
